If you have been working as a sonographer for a while, you might not remember your physics and instrumentation theory. However, having a comprehensive understanding of these principles will ensure that you are able to optimize your equipment in order to produce quality, diagnostic images. In this six-week course the sonographer will explain the basic physics of sound, transducers and soundbeam characteristics, fluid dynamics, Doppler physics and instrumentation, image characteristics and artifacts, and 3D/4D imaging.
